Patrick Monahan
Patrick was born in 1976 in Ahvaz, Iran and is an Irish-Iranian stand-up comedian. He has performed at seven Edinburgh Fringe Festivals, including five solo shows. His warm and friendly storytelling style has been developed through performing many shows around the UK and across the globe in countries from Germany, Greece, Monaco, and UAE.

Jody Kamali

Jody is a Bristolian, half-Iranian character comedian and actor. He presents a brand new show exclusively for the Edinburgh Iranian Festival.

Show title: Jody Kamali is Half Iranian
Jody will portray the complexity of having an Iranian Father and English Mother and sweeps you along in his quest in learning and understanding the rich Iranian culture.

Opening night after show party
The Edinburgh University Model UN Society has organised an International Ceilidh which will be the festival official after comedy show party on the opening night (Friday 30th January). If you show your Patrick Monahan ticket at the door, you will get into the ceilidh for half price!

A Scottish ceilidh band, the Drum Society, a bellydancer and Dunya Ensemble will be performing.
